我的老师玛丽
为了看望我的老师玛丽，我和敦敦专程成到了英国海边的小城海斯，老人一早就在长途车站等着我们娘俩，远远望去，白花花的头发衬出非常熟悉的一张笑脸，看得出，老人家身体还相当的硬朗。我和敦敦连忙跑上前去，拥抱着这位慈祥的犹太老人。我告诉敦敦，我很尊敬玛丽，不仅仅因为她是我的老师，更因为她是一位活得很智慧的老人。
那天是个阳光灿烂的日子，玛丽带我们漫步沙滩上，岸边坐落着5-6个碉堡，遥想当年，对面的法国鬼子就屡屡想从这里登陆，一来二去搅了英国绅士小姐们的仲夏夜之梦。打那以后，装正经的英国人从来就无法钟意傻浪漫的法国人，印象派的法国人对写实派的英国人就怎么也爱不起来了。可是，玛丽一直都很喜欢法国。
也许是从小在海边长大的缘故，玛丽是个心胸十分开阔的老人。她是理想主义和现实主义高度结合的成功典型。60年前，剑桥毕业的玛丽只身到香港，教英文，她的学生们后来都成了中港两地翻译出版界的骨干。多年前我带玛丽到北京的胡同里看望玛丽一位当年的学生，这位年过半百的'学生'任职的 '中国建设（China Construction)' 是新中国唯一官方英文杂志，遗憾的是积劳成疾的'学生'躺在病榻上，已经气弱如丝，不久就撒手人寰，玛丽是专程来说再见的。
还是60年前，玛丽把剑桥结识的一位优秀男友让给了别人，自己怀揣理想，选择单身独闯天下，我们到海斯的几天，这位84岁的'前男友'摔了一跤，并发大小便失禁，情况不妙，为这事，玛丽一边处理不间断的手机信息，一边跟我商量着应该怎样能帮的上这位'前男友'的忙。
'皇后陛下（Her majesty）' 是玛丽养的老猫，相貌平平但不失皇族的高贵气质，每天晚上不论多晚，玛丽都不忘先把'皇后陛下'请回家，然后才能上床休息。那是10年前一个风雨交加的深夜，玛丽下班回家隐约听见细微的咪咪声，仔细一看，一只小猫仔躲在屋檐下，玛丽心生怜悯，把'皇后陛下'抱回了家，当年的玛丽工作繁忙，不得不伦敦-海斯两地穿梭，很难照顾'皇后陛下'，想把它送给别人，却一直没能送出手，就这样'皇后陛下'已经跟着玛丽风风雨雨地相依为命了十个年头。
玛丽退休多年，每天早上都用一杯浓咖啡打起精神，然后就坐在桌前处理各种文件，她负责社区的许多项目，最近搞得是'儿童艺术参与'，让家境贫穷的孩子们花更多的时间享受正面的文化熏陶。84高龄的她还开着车到处奔忙，每天下午还坚持到老人院去探望一位90多岁的孤身老人。
我和敦敦一致地认为，玛丽是我认识的老人中活得最快乐潇洒的一个，不是因为她曾经的辉煌事业，也不是因为她腰缠万贯，只因为她懂得欣赏生活中美好的东西，宽广的心里能装着他人。在帮助他人的过程中找到了生活的意义，成就了丰富完美的自己。
It's been such a crazy few days.
Thursday night was the Vienna Teng concert. That was so amazing. We got there so early we stood right in front of the stage. Then we hung around afterward and got autographs!
Then Friday night Melissa decided to tell me that she didn't want to go to NYAF anymore. So I ended up texting Konrad at 1 in the morning and he ended up going with me. XD
It was him, me and Arianna yesterday. That was REALLY fun!

Hi!!!! I am juss really bored, so I decided to type in ma journal!!! Today it is December 9, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri!!It succs because my mom said I might not be going to school, and I have a newspaper meeting tomorrow!! I might e-mail the newspaper teacher, Mrs. Ronnebaum, and tell her that I am not going to make it. I am a photograper and writer for the newspaper. It is kinda, sorta fun!! I juss enjoy spending the time wit ma friends!!! :) I do really luv goin to Raytown Middle School. That skool is HUGE!!! LMFAO..... well I betta get bacc 2 doin my scrapbooking...LATER DUDES!!!!

Dear Readers,
I have a weird brother. Do you have a brother?His name is Jonathan. We have the same mother but two different fathers. My mom had divorced my brother's dad but is now married to my dad. My mom might divorce my dad kind of like why she divorced the other guy. See my dad smokes and he always goes to the garage to do so and then he comes back inside the house with a big stench. Well anyway, my brother is going to be 22 in four days and I tease him because when you turn 23 you are old or just gone from being young so I say that he has to make the most of the last year of being young. My cat always hisses at my brother when he comes up the stairs or something. Not because she is scared or something but because she hates him. She hates my dad, too. Actually, she hates all boys except for my dog, Rocket. She may tease Rocket but she still loves him. She is such a little brat. Right now she just came and sat on my lap. She loves to be warm. Did I ever tell you her name? Well, her name is Sandy if you are wondering. I love her to death. She is so adorable. She is so hungry, too, just like my dog. They both love meat and they hate like potatoes or tomatoes. They are weird that way but they are family. I love them both.
